Factors which affect a person’s choice of a particular job.
Research shows that 3 in 5 people consider the pay and compensation package as the deciding factor when taking up a job.
According to a survey done by property consultant, CBRE India.
Apart from pay, other Benefits like health insurance, leave facilities, childcare facilities, sabbaticals etc. also play a role.
Work from Home at least part of the time has become the norm and potential employees look for this.
This factor is a greater “pull” for women. Reasons being more home commitments, taking care of children and looking for better work life balance.
An interesting trend is that 7 in 10 employees want to work at least 3 days in a week.
The commute time is also to be factored in, particularly in metro cities. Ideally employees would seek a half hour one way commute.
This frees up time for other activities like spending time with family.
The workplace environment and culture is also important. Employees look for a workplace with an inclusive culture & meaningfully work that provides for growth & learning opportunities.
